Happy Autumn!

Long time, no blog (yet again....) - 2015 is rushing by faster than I can keep up with it. I have neglected this blog as I am using Facebook more and more to connect with customers so please do check out my page.

Highlights of this year so far vintage-wise have been a lovely 100th birthday party for a lady named Hilda, a geeky trip to London Comic Con to see the original stars of Back to the Future (more of which later....), a craft and cake stall at a ukulele festival, vintage shopping at the Grande Braderie in Lille, joining forces with Butterfly Brides for wedding events and prop/china hire (watch this space on that....) and a fantastic holiday to Marseille to get some shabby chic inspiration from Provence.

My day job and home improvements haves taken precedence recently so I don't have as much time to devote to making, thrifting and vintage-ing (is that a word?!) but I have the odd one or two stalls coming up at local events. Blaby Vintage Fair this Saturday and one in Cosby in a few weeks.

I am trying to reduce my vintage hoard (which has grown substantially thanks to my auction addiction!) so have started listing more items on my eBay page. Please click on the link above to see what's on at the moment. My wardrobe had a blitz last weekend so clothes to start with but lots more coming up soon......

Finally, as a nod to what I think got me interested in everything vintage (particularly the 1950s), I have to mention Back to the Future Day coming up next Wednesday. Yes, it's the day Marty McFly, Doc Brown and Jennifer zapped into that far off date of October 21st 2015. Can you believe it?!

So instead of moaning about the lack of hoverboards, flying cars, instant expanding pizzas and computerised leads that take dogs for a walk (I could do with one of those!), I am going to celebrate this momentous date by going to the National Space Centre in Leicester for their big BTTF event. I am going with my friend and fellow super-fan Katie and we are getting dressed up in our Fifties finery for the Enchantment Under the Sea Dance  (will Marty be there?!), Bettina Scarlet's Fifties vintage market, a fashion show, retro computers and - of course - a screening of Back to the Future on the big screen. I LITERALLY CANNOT WAIT!!!!
